A product guide from Live Face Swap
Imagine introducing an original character through your own performance: a curious glance, a pause before a reveal, and a line delivered in your voice. You want to see how that character looks in motion, try the delivery, and turn the moment into a short video you can share.
Live Face Swap isa live face swap video studio where a reference portrait guides your on-screen appearance and your webcam provides the performance. You can watch the transformed result as you speak, record it with your voice, then select and trim a take in the same workspace. Once you have the video, save a frame as a PNG to create a matching cover.
Explore the character through your own performance
A portrait establishes a look, but the way a character addresses the audience comes from movement and delivery. Does the introduction call for a welcoming smile, a serious glance, or a moment of surprise? Live Face Swap lets you try those choices in the live preview and see how the transformed face responds.
That makes the webcam a place to develop the scene. You can soften an expression, shorten a pause, or reduce a distracting turn while checking the appearance. The reference supplies a visual direction; your performance gives you a way to explore it. Start with a clear face and gentle movement, then judge the result through the action you actually want to record.
With microphone recording enabled, your own spoken delivery is captured alongside the picture. A character can use a different face while retaining the emphasis, humor, or warmth you bring to the line. The studio records your voice without generating a replacement character voice.
Keep a useful moment without moving between tools
When an idea starts working in the preview, recording lets you keep it. You can capture separate attempts and decide which one expresses the character best. A confident reading and a hesitant one can lead to different impressions, even with the same words and reference portrait.
The finishing tools sit beside those recordings. Choose a take, remove the empty opening, and trim the reach toward the controls at the end. For a short introduction or reaction, these small edits let the performance stand on its own. You can complete that work without configuring another recorder or opening a separate editor just to shorten the clip.
Recordings made with microphone audio also have a timing adjustment. If the voice consistently plays ahead of or behind the picture, shift it and listen again. This changes audio timing, not the generated mouth movements. Once the live AI session has ended, reviewing, editing, and downloading the existing clips add no AI credit usage.
Give the video a cover drawn from the same moment
A cover introduces the character before the viewer hears the first line. Taking it from the recording gives you the same appearance and framing as the video, with an expression you have already seen in context. You can choose a moment that represents the tone instead of creating another image and trying to make it match.
Live Face Swap can save a recorded frame as a PNG. A curious look might suit a character reveal; a composed expression might introduce a fictional presenter. The useful choice is a frame that makes sense on its own and also belongs to the clip it accompanies.
Think about the image while preparing the recording. Leave enough space around the face for the intended composition and check the recording crop in Recording settings. The saved clip uses that crop, while the main live preview keeps its full view. If you later want a title on the cover, add it in your usual design tool after saving the PNG.
Example: introduce a character before a new story
For an illustrative project, imagine a writer preparing a short post to introduce an original character who repairs other people's unusual inventions. The writer already has an authorized portrait and wants the audience to meet the character through a small moment of personality. The clip opens with:
"You said it only needed a new battery. Then why is it asking for a name?"
The writer uses the portrait as a reference and performs the line on camera. One delivery sounds concerned; another sounds quietly amused. After recording both and ending the AI session, the writer chooses the amused take and trims the pause before the first sentence.
A frame just after the question becomes the accompanying image. The writer downloads the finished video and that PNG, then prepares the post in their normal publishing tools. The character's appearance carries through both assets, while the recorded voice gives the introduction its personal delivery.
The video lets the character address an audience, and the image gives the post a recognizable face. The same pairing can support a fictional host's announcement or a short character reaction. Each asset has a role in introducing the finished performance.
Make the clip and save its companion image
The browser studio needs no separate installation or dedicated AI graphics card. Use a camera and stable internet; recording and MP4 export depend on browser and device support. The moving input is your live webcam, not an uploaded video. Starting AI sends the reference image and camera video to cloud providers for processing.
-
Choose the appearance and sound. Sign in, select Face Swap, and pick a gallery reference or an authorized portrait. Enable Record microphone in Recording settings before starting if the clip needs your voice.
-
Start the preview and frame the recording. Click Start Face Swap and allow camera access. In Recording settings, select portrait 9:16 or landscape 16:9 and check the crop before recording.
-
Record and end the session. Use Record and Stop recording to capture takes. Stop recording leaves AI running; click Stop preview, or End in the mobile call view, to end AI credit usage before reviewing at length.
-
Finish both assets. Trim the preferred take and prepare an edited MP4 where supported, or download the full transformed recording in its existing MP4 or WebM format. Choose a frame and use Save screenshot to save its PNG.
Download both files before refreshing or leaving the studio, because undownloaded clips are temporary. Check the video with sound and view the PNG on its own before using them in your post.
